2012, a great year for Hollywood movies

Many big banner movies were made in the year 2012 including worldwide highest selling movies Avengers ($1.5 billion), "The Dark Knight Rises" ($1.08 billion) and "Skyfall" (over $1 billion and still counting). The year 2012 also marked a historical event where all theaters shifted from showing 35 mm film to all-digital projection.
